When I download a theme from online examples as an Artisteer project, extract it and try to open it from the ArtISteer software I can not find ant file with *.artx format.
In the installation instructions it says “For installation instructions refer to ‘ReadMe.txt’ included in the template files” but I can not find such files within the extracted files.
Help me please with how to download and install a free template from the”Online Examples” folder.
Thanks in advance.
.artx is the proprietary format that ArtIsteer creates. If the person used Dreamweaver or something else to create the template then you will not be able to use ArtISteer to edi it.
Hello Eli,
Thanks for a very interesting presentation,
I´ve purchased the ArtISteer software and started testing it. I´ve noticed that when I start the software and choose a template from the New Project menu the only templates that accept changes on the text contents are the “Website or Blog” and “Samples”. If I select Online Samples, Joomla, WordPress or the other remaining templates, I can only change the layout but not the text content. Can you help please?
Yes, that is the case… WordPress/ Drupal and Joomla get their content from their own database. You create a WordPress site on GoDaddy.com or such, and then you add the template you created to the site. That’s a whole class unto itself.
Hello Eli again,
Did you remove from this video the part about how to upload the exported WordPress template from the desktop to the domain on the GoDaddy?
Thanks
