Combofix is a Great Tool for Getting Rid of Viruses/ Spyware/ Malware
My buddy, Agim, over at Maryland Techs can’t say enough for using Combofix to get rid of Viruses and Spyware. It’s a simple, FREE, piece of software that you basically just download and run. The only “issue” is that it only runs on 32bit OS’s. He’s been using it for 2 years as a part of his PC Tune-up process. By using it, and Malwarebytes he says he has almost a 100% success rate on getting rid of viruses.
I still argue that if you have an obvious virus problem you should go for the wipe and reload, but if you want a quick fix Combofix should do you well.
